SCO Outreach

If anyone is interested in getting involved with outreach, then please speak to Richard or e-mail SCO.

The Wits mission is now going strongly. This will be a large scale Christian outreach on campus with all Christian societies being invited to attend and is being facilitated by African Enterprise. If you have any way of assisting with this mission in terms of time, organising, prayer, printing, transport, sound equipment etc., please let us know at SCO or e-mail us. This is a mission that will be reaching thousands of students with a well planned, organised, powerful and spirit-filled project.

On Wednesday nights there is a project called Paballo Ya Batho that we invite everyone to get involved with. It assists the homeless in central Johannesburg by providing soup, bread, medical care and much more from mobile units. It is a chance to build relationships, and reach out to, those in need. Meet at 18h15 at the Wits Medical School parking lots. It usually finishes around 22h00. It is truly an eye opening and heart touching experience, while being very safe.

On Saturday the 17th of February there will be an outreach to Walkerville to work with an underprivileged school. It will be a day of playing with and helping out children in need. E-mail scowits@gmail.com for more info.

Upcoming Social

Our First social of the year:

We will be having a picnic at Emmarentia Dam on Saturday the 24th of February, starting at 12pm. It's a bring and share so bring something to eat and something to drink and let's get to know each other a little bit better.
We will meet in the Rose Gardens.. look for the SCO banner and a friendly bunch of people.

A New Year!

Hey SCO people old and new!

Welcome back to Wits and welcome back to SCO. We are very excited for this year and we are excited for what God is going to do in your lives ...
Here is a brief update for what's happening:
Everything starts on Monday. And so does SCO!
We will have Small Groups
Tuesday is Bible Study
Wednesday is Prayer
And Thursday is our first Main Meeting of the year..
Everything happens at lunch, which is 1.15 to 2.15
All the above will be happening in Richard Ward 4. Thursday is the most important and exciting meeting to come to! Bring your friends and don't be scared.

Directions to RW4 are as follows:

From the Great Hall steps facing the steps go right towards West Campus, turn at the first left, go straight, central block is on your left, Hillman building on your right, keep going straight, there will be an open space with some benches & grass on your right in front of you is Richard Ward, identifiable by the circular staircase on the outside, go up the stairs one storey and through the doors RW4 is on your left.
